Remodel Construction Soffit Installation

The Soffit is the layer of wood, vinyl or aluminum that extends from the bottom of the fascia to the top piece of your wall board. Depending on the age and construction of your home, it may have actual vents, or gaps in the boards, to provide ventilation for your attic.

The Fascia covers the sub fascia that makes up the end of your roof, and usually is hidden behind your gutters. It ties all your eaves together and is the foundation that your gutters are installed upon. It also works in conjunction with your soffit to provide ventilation for your attic, which helps keep your home warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

New Home Construction Soffit Installation

Two of the lesser known parts of your roof sit at the end of your roof’s overhang, yet are just as important to the life and health of your roof as properly installed sheathing, shingles and flashing! They are the Soffit and Fascia. They protect the wood from weather and moisture, can be vinyl and aluminum (which both are maintenance free – never needing paint!).

Soffit Repair

Obviously, it is important that both these pieces be in good condition because of the important role they play in your home’s protection from the elements in all seasons. Late spring and summer bring thunder storms, and hot dry weather that can take a toll on your gutters and the fascia holding them up.
